…and thanks for all the bears!
Worldcon 75, the first Finnish Worldcon, is over, and even the last of us have left Messukeskus and headed for home. We are grateful to everyone who was part of it: our Guests of Honour, Toastmistress and other guests; our staff and volunteers; the management of Messukeskus; and every one of our members.
We are proud of having brought Worldcon to this country for the first time, and of what we have done to share Finland with Worldcon – and Worldcon with Finland. There were challenges, and there are lessons for us and for others. But what remains is an achievement, and happy memories for many thousands of people. Thank you to everyone.
We are finalising our membership figures, and – as promised – we will be in touch by e-mail about the Souvenir Book with our Supporting Members and those Attending Members who were unable to be at the convention. The recordings of the Hugo Awards ceremony and the Closing Ceremony will be published soon, alongside the other programme items on our YouTube channel. And finally, watch out for news of…Progress Report 6! We will post updates about all of those things here and on social media. So please stay tuned!
